Viral Video: 7 Year Old Texas Girl Shoots First Deer With AR Style Rifle

Watch the priceless reaction from the young hunter

A Texas man, Cody Clapper, uploaded a video of his seven-year-old daughter shooting her first deer onto his Facebook page and received more feedback than expected.

The Facebook post got over 2 million views and was picked up by a local Fox affiliate in Dallas who received 6.8 million views on their re-post of the video.

Footage like this is important to share in a climate where so many people are misinformed about gun culture, such as the NY Daily News writer who described shooting an AR-15 as a nightmarish experience.
The recoil bruised my shoulder, which can happen if you don’t know what you’re doing. The brass shell casings disoriented me as they flew past my face. The smell of sulfur and destruction made me sick. The explosions — loud like a bomb — gave me a temporary form of PTSD. For at least an hour after firing the gun just a few times, I was anxious and irritable.
Clapper told those who disagree with his parenting, “If you think that you might be offended by this video that has my daughter shooting a deer with a modern hunting rifle, please keep scrolling.”

Woe be unto those who teach another evil. Killing an animal to survive is one thing, but killing animals as a sport and teaching a child to do the same and praising them for the killing is an atrocity. Isn't it bad enough in this world already?
I am not against guns or teaching your children how to use firearms, but teaching them to kill animals as sport is evil and sick.

That poor child is clearly being conditionned to HATE NATURE and ANIMALS!!! UTTERLY DISGUSTING and VERY SAD indeed!! I guess her psychopathic father must feel very proud of himself!...

no shit! this should be considered abuse and addressed.

You actually have first hand knowledge that the family is not going to eat that deer? Didn't think so! What makes you think that you are superior to them? You will be happy to have that little girl shoot you some food when you are hungry and have NO ability to fend for yourself.

Mankind has been hunting for food since existence has started or we would not be here today.
There are people who actually believe the grocery store creates the food! Those people have no clue where it comes from.

That little girl will survive a total economic collapse with the skills she has learned. As will my 11 year old daughter. My daughter is taught to respect life and only take what is needed for survival.

What pisses me off is insurance companies lobby to have 200 police officers storm the woods in northern Michigan and each officer kill 80 deer. That's 16,000 deer! This happened in 2014-2015 winter season.

I love nature and love animals! I have also hunted and killed 7 deer over the last 30 years for food. Do not preach leftist politically correct anti nature garbage to me!

Besides that, if Deer populations were not controlled, the populations would grow so big they would die of starvation and disease because in many areas their natural predators ate not present. The population of wolves and mountain lions in central Michigan are almost non existent. So to allow over population and starvation would be a cruel act.

Genesis 9:3.....Everything that lives and moves will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.

Leviticus 11:1-47 ESV

And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying to them, “Speak to the people of Israel, saying, These are the living things that you may eat among all the animals that are on the earth. Whatever parts the hoof and is cloven-footed and chews the cud, among the animals, you may eat. Nevertheless, among those that chew the cud or part the hoof, you shall not eat these: The camel, because it chews the cud but does not part the hoof, is unclean to you. And the rock badger, because it chews the cud but does not part the hoof, is unclean to you. ...

To those that think killing an animal is the lowest form
of Life good thing you never lived in a time when it was necessary. But seeing that you think your opinion is any thing but your opinion read this and let it sink in........... Life,Liberty And The Pursuit Of Happiness is ones choice to make no others to DICTATE .. To be polite mind your own damn business and quit stinking your nose in where it doesn't belong. This is still America a Republic and not a Democracy where majority rules

Many times I have been hunting and watched deer, bear, turkey, elk, and other game and never drew up on them as I really enjoyed watching them and just enjoyed being there on the hunt.
