Aiming to address the “rape culture” pervasive at college campuses across the country, a student activist group has proposed teaching children as young as five about sexual consent.
An organization called Take Back The Campus, made up of students from three California colleges, has released a list of demands it says will help curb the incidence of campus sexual assaults.
“We recommend consent education in K-12,” one of the group’s three demands reads. “College is too late for people to learn about bodily autonomy and respect.”
In an interview with the Huffington Post, a group supporter had to clear up that “consent” didn’t necessarily have to pertain to sex.
“Consent is not just for intercourse. It’s for all aspects of our lives, and people aren’t understanding or being taught that,” director of the Sexual Assault Commission of the Associated Students of the University of California, Meghan Warner, stated. “It’s better to focus on everybody, not just the few who attend universities,” Warner added.
Another group supporter, Alejandra Melgoza, also had to clarify that giving youngsters at the kindergarten level “consent education” didn’t always translate to sex ed.
“Concerned parents might think we’re talking about consent in purely sexual context, when really we’re talking on a day-to-day basis,” Melgoza explained. What that basically means is the old “keep your hands to yourself” policy, she said, overlooking the fact that parents are typically capable of tackling this issue on their own.
Take Back the Campus’ demands are essentially a culmination of liberal overkill following the passage of California’s “Yes means yes” law, a convoluted, excessive piece of legislation which requires “an affirmative, unambiguous and conscious decision” by all parties prior to engaging in sexual activity.
Of course there is good reason for parents to be concerned.
One UC Santa Barbara biological science major told Campus Reform she thought “Kids that age shouldn’t be exposed to material like that.”
“A lot of sex ed can be either biased or incorrect, so with that kind of misinformation, it could be pretty damaging to a seven-year-old and their views on sex and relationships later in life,” student Aaron Fulcher expressed.
Indeed, public school sex ed programs are already doing their best to groom children to be potential sexual deviants later on in life, according to a former abortion clinic operator.
“Children are being taught about sex and masturbation in ways that ‘shame the children’ so they will not be comfortable telling their parents what they heard,” head of the Heidi Group Foundation, Carolyn Everett, stated at a Rose Dinner event in Canada, according to the Catholic Register.
A recent federal report found the issue of campus rape to be less pervasive than previously speculated.
“The Bureau of Justice Statistics report also claimed that 6.1 per 1,000 students are victims of sexual assault, debunking the widely quoted 1-in-5 statistic activists previously referenced,” reports Kaitlyn Schallhorn.

NO. What makes them think just any teacher is qualified to talk to children OF ANY AGE about this ? NO.

Isn't it California who wants boys and girls to use the same restrooms ?

This is just unvelievable! Im not onboard with any of it. Leave it to someone that knows-it-all and whats better for your kids than you do. I vote...stay the hell out of my life! When it comes to teaching my kids about sex, i will do it! I suppose these are the same pedophile people that are pushing for this.
