Investigate IRS Intimidation Against Tea Party Conservatives!
Grassfire Alert:
Dear Patriot,
"This is Big Brother come to life and a witch hunt to prevent
Americans from exercising their First Amendment rights," said
Louisiana governor Bobby Jindal after learning that the Internal
Revenue Service deliberately targeted and intimidated Tea Party
conservatives who opposed the Obama administration.
When the scandal first broke, IRS official Lois Lerner, apologized,
blaming a number of low-level employees in a Cincinnati office who had
singled out organizations that included the words "tea party"
or "patriot" in their applications for tax-exempt status.
At that time she confessed
"mistakes were made," even though evidence now suggests that the
order to scrutinize Tea Party and conservative organizations came from
the White House as far back as 2010!
This was NO MISTAKE as Lerner
would have you believe. But rather, as Wisconsin governor Scott Walker
suggests, "This is a subversion of American liberty and a secret
but direct attack against the U.S. Constitution."
Patriot, the IRS was targeting YOU because of your
political affiliation. They wanted to silence you and others like you through a
variety of strong-arm tactics.
They included demands for
information as extremely private as donor information, and as mundane
as Facebook posts. Even what books Tea Party organizers were reading
and transcripts of speeches by patriot group leaders became essential
pieces of information needed by the IRS to determine tax-exempt status.

Criminal Investigation Into IRS Activities
"To think that the government has the capability to reach into the
lives of people in our organization is not only scary but describes the
time we live in today," said Eric Wilson, executive director of
Kentucky 9/12 Project, a group targeted by the IRS.
Patriot, this deliberate bullying and harassment of Tea Party groups
and conservative organizations cannot be tolerated. Grassroots
Americans on both sides of the political aisle should be incensed over
this latest chapter of illegal government activity and thuggish
overreach!
With grassroots outrage building, Grassfire has launched a national
petition to mobilize 50,000 citizen signers who are demanding a full
criminal investigation into the IRS' intimidation tactics against
conservatives. This petition also calls on Congress to halt any
increase in funding or staffing at the Internal Revenue Service for the
duration of the Obama administration.

This IRS scandal is an "onion"
that's just now being peeled back, making it all the more important for
