Consensus shredded; major media up against the wall

Television news is shriveling. And it’s under attack from a new breed. You can call them counter-programmers, video freaks, whatever.
But they’re winning.
Every dollar and inch of technology the networks employ move toward an irrefutable image on the screen. “Here it is. Look.”
(snip)
Image addiction is sacred to people.
No one goes to the movies and comes out saying, “You know, images don’t really add up to anything. It’s a waste of time.”
No one walks into the Sistine Chapel, looks at Michelangelo’s ceiling, and says, “Why did they bother? They could have just written down a message to explain what the ceiling means.”
No one asks, “Why did they have the president sit there in the Oval Office and address the nation? He could have written a statement or talked on radio.

sad day to say: these facts are not a surprise, for the elite show that their integrity is something that is NOT SOMETHING THEY HOLD IN THEIR HEARTS AS PRICELESS.
nor do i feel that they believe that there is a god, for the elite subports the belief of evolution of the mindless atom, and the single cell who can create the tree of life into the many animals, plants, air, humans, etc. by the mindless fate of chance only.
the d.n.a. alone tells the story that creation were not mindless nor can be created by earth man.
if the elite want to feel that all actions of choice is never an act of choice that has to have to be paid in full, or that the creation of energy called mercy is always allowed to them in the end, if this makes them feel that bussiness can proceed as usual is ok, i ask why their fathers on their beds fear the price of mercy. we all are animals in our instincts to conquier and survive, but there is a action of choice given to all of us as to always to be made on where we all draw the line, every animal and plant knows this, why don't they.

Yes, somewhere along the line it was discovered how easily our emotions and choices are manipulated by images.
Then it evolved into advertising and marketing, and mind control. Even subliminal images are used to influence people.

Going back to Nero, he had his own image put on the coin. When you think about it, it seems rather egocentric.

Anyway, I rarely to go films anymore. My brain can only handle so many images. I may as well decide which ones I want.
The media has supplanted our imaginations with a bunch of cheap images and emotions.
While we can't escape the manufactured images completely, they are on billboards, at bus stops, supermarkets, etc., I'd rather use my own imagination to create my own images, then to have them constantly fed to me from outside sources.
